    From Points East: Take I-290 West to Exit 22 (Main Street) toward Shrewsbury/Worcester. At the end of the ramp, bare right onto Main Street heading toward Worcester. Main Street will become Lincoln Street. Go straight through two sets of lights. From Points West: Take I-290 East to Exit 21 (Plantation Street). Take a left at the end of the ramp.     Neurological Rehabilitation Special Interest Group

    Join the newest special interest group for occupational therapy practitioners working with stroke and brain injury population

    Purpose of the Neuro-rehabilitation SIG

    - It is a specialized field of practice for occupational therapists.

    - Lots of new evidence in the field:

    o Robotic arm for training UE flaccid limb,
    o Bioness
    o Botulinum treatment and role of OT
    o Chedoke Macmaster assessment
    o Role of Occupational therapists in cognitive assessment and cognitive training
    o Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
    o Neuro Ifrah
    o Driving and stroke etc.

    - Networking among clinicians working with patients with neurological diagnosis

    - Share experiences on what treatment techniques are effective with the population

    - Exchange of evidence base between clinicians in the field

    - Collaboration on research projects on topics of mutual interest

    School System Special Interest Group Meeting

    Why: Why not? Come network with other OT practitioners working in schools. Bring an idea or activity to share. Bring concerns or get ideas for working with students on your caseload. Share sensory diet ideas with the group. Discover the wealth of resource from fellow practitioners!!
