Checklist and Requirements for Submitting Research Study Recruitment Requests

Before submitting a request via email to share your research study with our members, please ensure your email and all study materials include each item below. Board members will use the checklist below to confirm submissions are complete and eligible for dissemination.

Required Submission Components

• Title of the study
• Clear statement of the study purpose/aim
• Inclusion criteria for participants
• Estimated time commitment required from potential participants
• Confirmation that the study is inclusive of occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs)—occupational therapists (OTs) and occupational therapy assistants (OTAs)—when appropriate (e.g., exception may be if study is related to evaluation)
• Name of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), IRB approval status, and study number
• Contact information for the primary investigator, including title, email address, and phone number. If it is a student project, also include the name of academic supervisor/mentor overseeing the project and their contact information in addition to student’s contact information.
• Direct link(s) to the study’s consent form and to all study surveys or data collection instruments

When you have gathered all necessary components, please email your request to info@maot.org. 

Once it is approved by our Academic Representative, MAOT will share the information to our membership via email and social media.
